Computing Facility

The high-performance computing cluster – Mowgli:
Mowgli is a 512 core HPC cluster, composed of 26 racks mounted nodes, located in the ICTS data center. Of the twenty-six, one is a head node and all others are execution nodes. This cluster is a heterogeneous cluster composed of two types of nodes, 16 nodes with 16-cores, 64 GB RAM each and 10-nodes with 24-cores, 96 GB RAM each. Cluster nodes are connected using Infiniband HBAs through a Mellanox QDR Interconnect switch. LIGO tier-3 grid computing center:
This cluster is composed of 34 nodes. Of the thirty-four, two are head nodes and all others are execution nodes. This is a homogeneous cluster with each node consisting of 16 processing cores and 64 GB of RAM per node. The cluster nodes are connected using Gigabit Ethernet switch. The cluster has a Network Attached Storage of 48 TB capacity and an archival storage of 75 TB on disk.


The high-throughput computing cluster – Mario:
The latest addition to the ICTS HPC facility is the 512-cores Dell cluster. This cluster is composed of 33 nodes. Of the thirty-three, one head node and all others are execution nodes. This is a homogeneous cluster with each node consisting of 16 processing cores and 64 GB RAM per of node. The cluster nodes are connected using 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch. The cluster has a Network Attached Storage of 150 TB capacity and an archival storage of 200 TB on disk. Read More >>
